To help women acquire the skills they need to engage fully in economic, social and political life.

Gender and Women's Empowerment Department dedicated to women's empowerment at the heart of CARF's commitments. Recognizing the structural inequalities, cultural discrimination and socio-economic vulnerability that affect women in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, we are implementing a warm and comprehensive approach, focusing on the training, capacity-building, awareness-raising and advocacy.

Objective of the Gender Department and Empowerment of Women

Our goal is to help women acquire the skills they need to engage fully in economic, social and political life, while integrating a gender perspective into our development, governance, resource management and prevention projects.

Promoting professional equality

For us, this empowerment is not only a question of social justice and equality, but also an essential step towards a sustainable, inclusive and humanist development, faithful to our desire to give priority to the most vulnerable, as indicated by the mission of CARF.
