Call for contributions from the Journal Frontieres

The Centre for Research and Training (CARF) invites all those who think, create, act or tell to contribute to the next two special issues of the Frontier Journal.

Frontiers is a space for reflection open to all voices, where lived knowledge, local accounts, local struggles, and words about critical thinking and social action find their place. These upcoming issues welcome your thoughts on two themes: « Women in motion: spaces, voices and resistance» and « DRC: sovereignty in practice, powers in question ». These publications aim to enhance local voices, critical thinking and the paths involved.

Deadline for submission of texts: 24 July 2025

Special Issue 001: « Women in motion: spaces, voices and resistance »

This issue gives women the floor, not on their identity, but on their trajectories. It seeks to show how women's voices pass through silences, transform their environment through dynamics of resistance, memory and solidarity leadership. We welcome personal reflections, field stories or essays inspired by experience, spirituality or research

  Some leads to write:

  • Women and social justice;
  • Leadership, commitment and solidarity;
  • Intergenerational transmission and women's struggles;
  • Body, speech and spirituality as forms of emancipation.

Special Issue 002: « DRC: sovereignty in practice, powers in question »

This number is off the ground. He does not want to define sovereignty, but to show it: in a citizen act, in resistance to injustice, in a spiritual commitment. It questions contemporary forms of Congolese sovereignty, through the prisms of natural resources, independence, geopolitical conflicts, imaginary governance, and power as it is lived, questioned or reinvented. We invite contributions rooted in experience, terrain, or critical thinking.

Some leads to write:

  • Natural resources and economic sovereignty;
  • Borders, migration and resilient communities;
  • Reinventing the legacy of independence;
  • Digital sovereignty and citizen innovation;
  • Ethical governance, political spirituality and citizen engagement.
